About
The General Data Company builds industrial datasets and RL environments for frontier labs. It wants company archives (email, orders and quotes), operational processes (complaints, maintenance and inspection records, tickets and CRM) and engineering expertise (technical drawings, CAD, change requests), and only takes records that no longer give the seller an edge. Records that follow a job end to end are most valuable. Its ideal sellers are industrial and Mittelstand firms, including those no longer trading. Names and IDs are replaced by a model and checked by a human, then the linking key is deleted, and no file moves before a signed agreement. It pays either a one-off price or a share of licensing revenue, against milestones.
How the process works
- Describe your records
- NDA and data processing agreement
- Sample and rights review
- Written agreement
- They anonymize with a human check; paid against milestones
Things to know
- No payout amounts are published; the referral amount scales with deal size, so smaller deals pay less than $50K.
- Region is inferred from its Mittelstand/DAX-adjacent focus; it does not state an exclusive geography.
