About
Polyshares describes itself as an enterprise-focused data lab that buys operational data from companies in any sector, whether VC-backed, mid-market or founder-owned. It looks at Slack, email, Drive, spreadsheets, CRM, support tickets, design files, call recordings and accounting or ERP exports, and says the length and texture of the record matter more than headcount. A third-party PII partner strips identifiers. There is no fee and the deal is non-dilutive. Co-founder Ryan Lock has said labs want the full workflow (including rejected fixes), that three or more years on the same software matters, and that 24-month exclusivity is the typical ask.
How the process works
- Answer a 3-question eligibility check
- Sample review
- Offer in 1–2 weeks
- Third-party partner removes identifiers; data delivered
- Paid Net 30–60 after approval
Things to know
- No public referral program was found (polyshares.com/referral returns 404). Any referral link is likely issued privately or behind sign-in; get its terms in writing.
- Figures and case studies (including a sample $640K offer and a reported $450K roofing-company offer) are Polyshares' own; the register found no press or funding coverage.
- Co-founder Ryan Lock has said deals below about 50 employees struggle because legal and diligence costs are fixed. Region is inferred from his comment that targets are US-based and English-language.
What Minewell earns
Polyshares offers a 'Broker' account type with a conflict check; Minewell holds a referral link and is applying for a broker account. Commission is unpublished; we will state it here once agreed in writing.
